goMICE, part of UNIGLOBE Alliance Travel, works with a professional team of more than 40 specialised employees across 3 offices (in Rotterdam, Arnhem and Goes). The specialists at goMICE work from the office in Rotterdam at the Wilhelminakade. We organise Meetings, Incentives, Congresses, Events, Sports Trips, Training Camps, Inspiration Trips and Business Club Trips. We also take care of flight tickets for groups.
Project Manager Lotte
This time, goMICE Project Manager Lotte introduces herself. Lotte has been working at goMICE since 1 August 2017. We ask Lotte five questions.
What do you like about your work?
I really like that as a Project Manager, you are involved in the entire process of a trip or event: from the very first request, the preparation process and the implementation all the way to the final evaluation. In addition, the work is really varied: at one moment you may be calling a contact from Iceland, and the next moment you may be negotiating with a hotel in Japan; it’s never boring!
What trip can we wake you up in the middle of the night for?
You can always wake me up for a visit to the sea! Whether it is the Caribbean Sea, the Indian Ocean or ‘just’ the North Sea; I love them all.
Why do you think a client should choose goMICE?
goMICE loves nothing more than to create unforgettable experiences. Our team is enthusiastic, and we work together well, so we love taking care of projects to the tiniest details. In addition, goMICE has an IATA license, which means we can book the tickets directly into our various worldwide reservation systems. This allows us to book the best rates with the most favourable conditions. A great additional advantage that we use to distinguish ourselves!
What is the best thing you have organised for a client of goMICE?
Because I have been working here for only one month, I haven’t organised any events or trips for goMICE yet. Of course, I am involved in some very cool projects: an incentive trip to a Southern European destination, a futuristic event in our own country, and a trade mission to the east of Europe.
Tell us more about your favourite destination
Dubai is not only a great holiday destination, it is also a very suitable destination for an incentive trip. When you get off the plane, you immediately step into a completely different world. A futuristic skyline with towering skyscrapers, huge shopping malls, over-the-top luxury, great temperatures, a vast desert and a crystal-clear sea… Dubai has it all. My favourite activity is Dunebashing, which involves driving 4WDs through the desert and its red sand dunes at high speed. Tip: make a stop to view the beautiful sunset over the Hajar mountains. A trip to Dubai is a truly unforgettable experience!
