Organising group trips, meetings, incentive trips, congresses and events for large (or smaller) organisations is a piece of cake for us at goMICE. This year, we once again organised the annual HR meeting for a loyal customer (one of the Netherlands’ largest temping agencies). It took place in Paris this year, and you can find out how it went in this blog.
HR meeting in Paris
When you organise a group trip to beautiful Paris for 50 people, tight planning beforehand is very much necessary. We leave nothing to chance, and before the HR meeting, we discussed what wishes and needs should be placed at the top of the list with the customer.
What is the theme of the meeting? Which hotel suits this best and do we need a separate meeting location? How many participants are there? Do they have special wishes or needs? Special requests? We want to know everything, so we can unburden our customers as much as possible. Our goal is to satisfy the customer and give them unforgettable experiences, which is only possible if we know all the ins and outs in advance.
But we are not the only ones asking questions. We always have direct contact with the customer, the participants (in this case, employees and managers from locations across the world) and the other parties involved in the meeting. All parties can ask their questions to the designated contact person, because we always work with designated contacts at goMICE. This allows us to respond quickly and practically never miss a thing. From additional hotel stays or dietary wishes to specific questions from a presenter about the arrangement of the room or the necessities; we take care of it. Often well in advance, but we also work with spontaneous ideas that arise during the trip!
Creativity and problem-solving thinking
When organising MICE, we often need our creativity and problem-solving abilities. This was also true for the HR meeting in Paris. After our first orientation meeting, it soon appeared that Hotel Les Jardins du Marais is relatively far from the desired restaurant (La Gare). The bus trip would take well over 30 minutes, which was a bit too far for both us and the customer. The solution was very simple: booking a tour with a guide so that the guests would also get a great impression of Paris by Night! This solution was well received by the customer and ultimately experienced very well by all participants.

From booking hotel stays, transfers and diners, to arranging meeting rooms, necessities on site, a location for a group photo or a birthday cake; we’ve got it all covered. We are the link between the customer and all other parties. This way, we unburden the customer and take care of a lot of their work. With a successful meeting that runs smoothly as the ultimate goal. Just like the amazing HR meeting in Paris!
