We regularly arrange incentive trips to southern European destinations, but there are very interesting and fun cities to discover in the rest of Europe as well. Today, I will tell you more about an incentive trip to Berlin, the capital of Germany.
An incentive trip to Berlin
A new client called us. And as I mentioned in another blog: we have lots of ambassadors walking around. This contact once worked somewhere else where she booked the group trips with us, she says.
So, when the company she works for now, wanted to organise an incentive trip, she immediately thought of us. They called us and explained what the company was looking for. The incentive destination had not yet been determined, so everything was wide open. Which makes it even more fun for us.
To find the right destination for a client, we use a ‘funnel model’. By asking the right questions, we often come up with surprising suggestions that suit the purpose of a trip well.
Choosing the right destination
In this specific case, our contact suggested the destination of Valencia. And I can hear you thinking: “That is nothing like Berlin!” Which is true. But by asking the right questions, we concluded that Berlin would be much more suitable for the target group. Fun and surprising. Especially when you notice that people are becoming more and more enthusiastic about the many possibilities of Berlin.
And that’s why we do what we do. A targeted approach resulting in a surprising destination and an original programme. And when after they return, it turns out the group had a perfect experience, then we are proud and satisfied!
The project managers of goMICE
It also makes you proud of our project managers who worked on the assignments. We always assign two project managers to an assignment at goMICE. The subdivision often looks like this:
- A project manager in the lead
- A buddy that is informed and cooperates
This allows us to cover for any days off or vacation. And the client will not be hindered by this.
The group trip to Berlin
The 3-day incentive trip to Berlin was full of good food, fun activities and exploring the city. The 20 colleagues were all young people from the IT sector and we had ensured that all represented profiles could enjoy the trip optimally.
For instance, we arranged a fun workshop in which everyone could use their creativity. We also organised a motorised activity, with a closing tour in a local brewery.
This incentive trip took place from Friday to Saturday. On Monday, our contact spontaneously called us to thank us. The quote below is what she literally said. She also added that she would let us organise any future incentive trip as well. Really great!
Quote, contact: “I can’t think of anything that went wrong. The food was fantastic, and you had arranged really fun activities for us, it was really different and everyone like it.”
